So you want to make money on the internet!

Making money online may at first seem like a daunting task, some may even be a bit apprehensive purely based on lack of knowledge or uncertainty. The first thing you should know when about making money is that.
1. Money never comes easy and 2. the more your make the easy it gets.
For lack of a better term, the word easy might have just been thrown in there as a very broad statement because after all nothing comes easy. Modern money mechanics teaches us that $1.00 is just $1.00 until deposited then it creates $10.00 out of thin air. So depending on which logical concept you look at, making money can be both easy or difficult. 
So let's assume you want to start a career in internet marketing, purely to generate money out of thin air! for after all it is the only place that requires no educational academics to apply, no fancy degrees or diplomas, you could be a college drop-out, have no money and still make it big on the internet, all you need is internet connection, a computer and some basic knowledge on how to go about online marketing. but where would you start?

The first thing you need to know about online marketing is this. Never ever believe for one second, you're going to become an overnight millionaire. It takes a vast amount of knowledge to do very well online, you might of heard the stories of people making millions, or thousands of dollars in a short amounts of time, but these are the gurus with tons of experience who have tried and tested many different products and strategies over the years and  have success doing so.
This is not said to detour or dishearten you from pursuing a career online, I say go for it because it can be very rewarding, if you know what you're doing.
The top 2 questions I get asked about online marketing is.
1. where do I start?
2. how do I make money?
Ok, the first thing I want to say is the reason why I'm doing this is, when I first started online there were no mentors to teach me how to's, do's and don'ts about online business. I was simple winging it on my own in hopes that I could pull something off, until I made it. So I want to be able to help and make sure no one else encounter the same problems that I faced when you first start online.


So here are some suggestions of online businesses you can start with, I will also give my recommendations and which is best and where to start in later posts. 

1. Info Product Business:
This is where you launch your own product, a great example of this may be an ebook about something of
tangible use, this can cover many different topics based on your specific niche. 
let's say for instance you're a web designer, you can write an ebook teaching people how to create their own websites from their home computers in a few easy steps, or in a set time frame. Obviously when your book is finished you need to create a website in order to drive traffic to that site so people can know what your ebook is about.
This may be one of the easiest ways to start an online business, you're creating something of value so the effort you put into creating your product should reflect in your sales, and the more sales you have the more the search engines will favour your site based on referrals and returning customers.

2. Network Marketing Industry:
The Network Marketing Industry is by far the most popular form of online marketing with over 55,000 people per week in the United States alone singing up as network marketers, and over 150,000 people per week world wide. Network marketing within it self has several sub categories.
MLM; which is (Multi Level Marketing) this type of marketing operates on a multi level.
This marketing system is based purely on sales, you are rewarded not only on sales you generate, but on sales your downline personally generates and on the participants your downline also recruits. This provide multi levels of compensation as recruitment goes on several levels below you, so the person who initially recruited his downline of 3 or more people benefits because of the necessity to recruit more participant in order to maintain an on going trend. MLM thrives because of this compensation plan, because of the sheer volume of people recruited, this could literally be infinite.

3. Affiliate Marketing:
Unlike MLM, Affiliate Marketing is based on performance where by a company reward it's affiliates for each new customer brought to and purchases a product or service from the company's sales page.  

In essence this is simply promoting someone else's product and getting paid to do so, how you promote that product is totally up to you. There are many different mediums available to get a product or service in from of hundreds and thousands of people at the same time, the internet is a very powerful tool if you can harness the power. 
Affiliate marketing has been a major part of many internet successes purely because of the ability to promote as many products as you wish, a lot of marketers start out this way because there is minimum effort on their part. 

The definitive factor when choosing where to start would have to be a personal preference as no marketing system is better than the other, research is key. look at the different compensation plans and see what's best for you.
